Maynard Marks Limited is a professional building and property consultancy practice offering a wide range of specialist Building Surveying services.

We have a specialist team involved in weathertightness investigation, dispute resolution and remediation of leaky buildings, ranging across a broad spectrum of property types, from standalone residential properties to commercial buildings. Other work areas covered include; due diligence surveys, dilapidation surveys, stock condition surveys, feasibility studies, maintenance planning and sinking fund analysis.

Building Surveyor Position

Due to current and future forecasted workload we have a vacancy for an experienced Building Surveyor.

The successful candidate will have good working knowledge of both present and historic New Zealand construction practices and legislation, will posses forensic investigation skills and will have experience acting as an expert witness. As well as being capable in these areas, the candidate will also have specific contract administration experience in the remediation of leaky buildings and should be competent in administering construction contracts under the NZS3910:2003 Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction. 

The qualifications and experience required for a Building Surveyor would include a construction or design related degree or diploma with a minimum of 5 years practical experience. The candidate would also ideally hold current membership with the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors (NZIQS) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Quantity Surveyor Position

Due to current and future forecasted workload we have a vacancy for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with project management/ contract administration skills to support our qualified team.

Our current workload predominantly involves weathertightness remediation but also includes due diligence surveys, dilapidation surveys, stock condition surveys, feasibility studies, maintenance planning and sinking fund analysis.
The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge in New Zealand construction practices and have worked in a professional environment. They will also be conversant with NZS3910:2003 Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction.

The qualifications and experience required would include being a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years practical experience in New Zealand. The candidate would also ideally hold current membership with the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
