Design & Contract Administration

A large proportion of the Design and Project Management work that we complete at this present time is based around the repair of leaky buildings.

We work closely with Registered Architects with whom we have developed excellent working relationships, consulting with the client to provide a design brief for concept designs in any given project.

Once a concept design is complete and is approved by the client we would move into detailed design and obtain Building Consent for the completion of the works.
Either concurrently with the application process, or after the issue of the Building Consent, we would tender the works to suitably experienced and qualified contractors, in order to obtain fixed price competitive tenders for the completion of the project.

After completion of a detailed tender analysis and recommendation to the client for the selection of the preferred contractor, a contract would then be drawn up, and be put in place between the client and contractor under New Zealand Standard NZS:3910 2003 Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction. We would then administer the contract as ‘Engineer to the Contract’ monitoring the works and programme, certifying progress payments and issuing variation orders, generally acting as Contract Administrator, ensuring successful completion of the project.
