Lee is a talented Quantity Surveyor with a background in building science. This, along with his wide-ranging project experience, has given him a holistic view of construction, which he applies to his quantity surveying work.

Prior to joining Maynard Marks, Lee spent several years at a quantity surveying firm in Christchurch. He was responsible for digital take-offs, drawing plans for measurements, preparing and completing repair-cost reports, preparing tenders, creating scopes of works and liaising with clients. In this role he worked predominantly with contractors and developers on new build projects and provided cost consultancy advice in legal disputes following the Canterbury earthquakes.

At Maynard Marks, Lee delivers the full range of pre and post contract Quantity Surveying services, including estimation, advice on contingencies and contract administration. He has specific expertise in the areas of heritage buildings and seismic projects, and his involvement has delivered great benefits to clients.

Lee is a strong advocate of using technology to make cost estimation efficient and transparent, creating a digital trail to back up all his decisions to ensure that his work is robust and auditable. He ensures open, honest and regular communications with his clients and project stakeholders

Lee works hard to deliver high quality work and service to clients, believing this leads to strong relationships and future work as a preferred contact.

Lee is currently working towards membership of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS).
