We work with schools, the Ministry of Education and higher/further education institutions on building projects and building-related issues.
If you need help preparing your 10 year property plan (10YPP), our project managers can help. We have undertaken the Ministry of Education’s 10YPP training, a prerequisite for preparing these plans. Our work will include reviewing the condition of your existing buildings and putting together an appropriate maintenance plan to assist you get the funding you need.
We can project manage 5 year agreement (5YA) and other funded building projects (such as roll growth, additional School Property Guide (SPG) entitlement, unforeseen work or community/school funded projects). Because we’re trained to understand buildings, you can be confident that any designs we produce or projects we manage will be suited to the needs of your school and will meet the Ministry of Education’s design and project management requirements.
We have the necessary skills, qualifications and experience to perform the role of Engineer to the Contract, as required under NZS:3910 2013 Conditions of contract for building and civil engineering construction.
We can also offer you design services including helping you to develop modern learning environments (MLEs) and designing building work in conjunction with Designing Quality Learning Spaces (DQLS) standards.

Our experience in this area means you can be confident you will receive a high standard of service and that any issues or concerns will be addressed promptly with the correct level of consultation to ensure a successful project outcome.

Because we see the causes of building failure on a regular basis, we understand what’s needed in terms of maintenance, repair, design and project management to avoid issues in the future. Our chartered and registered building surveyors are experienced in undertaking stock condition surveys, maintenance planning and project management for tertiary education providers.
