Daniel is an experienced professional Structural Engineer with a broad background in engineering design and construction leadership. This includes consulting and construction experience in the building and civil sectors in New Zealand and Australia.
Daniel has a proven track record of successfully providing both structural design and construction management services to key building and civil construction projects. His experience ranges from a public foreshore redevelopment to multi-storey hospital car parks, government office buildings, various low and medium rise public and commercial buildings as well as heavy civil projects in the mining and oil and gas industries.
A firm believer in the philosophy of Total Design, Daniel’s role at Maynard Marks is to lead and develop our structural engineering capability, using his experience in design and construction to engineer efficient and elegant solutions to structural problems. He is well placed to provide clients with robust, reliable structural engineering services, having successfully developed a structural engineering practice for a building consulting practice in the past and having designed structural solutions that have stood the test of time.
Daniel offers a wide range of structural engineering services including structural condition assessments, seismic assessments, structural engineering design, peer-review, structural design of building façade elements, structural defect inspections and remedial design, structural design of small bridges and culverts and structural design of temporary works for construction.
Daniel currently sits on Engineering New Zealand’s Competency Assessment Board and also serves as a structural practice area assessor. He has been an Executive Committee Member of the Concrete New Zealand Precast Sector Group and is a 2019/20 Division Director for Toastmasters International.
